On Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10 AM EST, KASS will offer a virtual workshop entitled, Stress and Its Impact on Superintendents. Dr. Kathleen Chard is an international expert on stress and will provide specific stress management skills that superintendents can use to work through these difficult times and show these skills can be used to support their leadership team. She will provide resources (including research-based readings) prior to her presentation. This session will go beyond a typical, didactic presentation and instead provide information directly applicable to what superintendents are experiencing.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Pass code is KASS2021
For those who are attending the January 21st session with trauma psychologist Dr. Chard, please use the Zoom credential above to attend the session. I will open the window at 9:45 EST and close following the Q&A. The stress self-assessment access link and information can be found below.
Dr. Chard is inviting participants to take a brief (10 minute) assessment that would immediately provide an overview of personal strengths and level of stress. This information is strictly confidential; only the user has access to their own results. In addition, the results are directly linked to resources that participants can consider should a personal strength be identified as low or starting to erode. These resources include videos, a self-guided curriculum, and other information. Again, all confidential, and free to our group. Note: Participant information remains confidential and is disregarded after entered:
Access the assessment tool here: www.terracemetrics.org/goodwall
After reading the consent form, enter information and a preferred email, typically personal, (the assessment does not require a name or birth date, use initials and any DOB), then enter our organization name: KYSUPTS
The link to the assessment will be sent to your email after information is entered and submitted.
Although completing the assessment is not required to attend the session, Dr Chad will refer to the aggregate (not individual) results and provide relevant feedback and strategies to support participants. Please share this email with your team if you have not registered the full group.
We look forward to seeing you all via zoom on January 21st at 10:00am EST.
